We have many local and global mission activities that we participate with and hope that you'll join us!
Local Missions
Serenity House Outreach
Our church has a heart for those in recovery. Many lives have been touched, healed, and transformed by the love of Jesus. For the last eight years we have shared this love in a recovery home for women in Hopkinton. Once a week we share God’s word from a recovery bible, monthly we hold a craft & fellowship time, and twice a year we have holiday services and dinner at the recovery home. Mary Douglas coordinates this outreach effort and also arranges for transportation for those residents who would like to attend our Sunday morning church services. To get involved in this outreach effort, call Mary Douglas at (508) 881-5932.
Angel Tree Christmas
For the past several years our church has participated in Angel Tree Christmas, a ministry of
Prison Fellowship. At Christmastime, volunteers purchase and deliver gifts to the children of inmates in their parent’s name. Each gift delivery also presents an opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ with each family. Through Angel Tree, these children feel a parent’s love, despite their absence. For more information, visit the Angel Tree website at www.angeltree.org.
Global Missions
Spain
Our church is part of the International Association of Missions (IAM). IAM is a partnership of New England and Spanish churches that labor together to do what no one church could do alone. The partnership is committed to planting Vineyard churches and developing a church planting movement in Spain, and raising up national leaders to help the movement to flourish. The Spain partnership began with a vision to see a group of local churches partnering together to plant churches in Spain. In 1991, Vineyard pastors from New England began to pray to this end, and, in 1992, they took their first ministry trip to Spain. Each year our church sends folks to pray and minister in Spain. For more information about IAM, visit their website at: www.iammissions.com
Dominican Republic
For the past several years, our church has participated in short-term mission trips to the Dominican Republic. Adults and teens have traveled to this Spanish-speaking country to assist with hands-on service projects and to minister and develop relationships as we church plant. Mission teams have an opportunity to serve in practical ways as they share the love of Jesus with young and old alike! In partnership with our vineyard-style church plant in the village of Montellano, an Orphans and Widows Fund has been started as a way to minister to children-at-risk and others who are in need in this community. To learn more about this fund, or to find out how you can get involved in missions projects, please contact our office.
