CHILDREN

We love children at the Vineyard Church in Hopkinton! Children were important to Jesus throughout scripture, and they are important to us as a church. We aren’t complete without them.  Our mission in Children’s Ministry, similar to our church’s mission, is that the children would know who God is, love Him just because they can’t help it, and with excitement, show others how God loves us.

SUNDAY MORNINGS...

Kidsworship:  We offer Kidsworship for the children from 10-10:30am in the center of Kids Zone (Children’s area accessible from the foyer). During Kidsworship, children have a great time singing to Jesus, dancing, and enjoying music in a natural way.  On the weeks that we don’t have Kidsworship, families are encouraged to worship together in the Sanctuary.

Fall Kids Programs:  We have a full children’s program that runs each Sunday following worship at 10:30am.  Our children's Sunday Curriculum is fun-filled, age appropriate, interactive, and encourages Christ-centered learning.

  • Nursery (Infant to 2 years) in the Yellow Room

  • Preschool & Kindergarten (3-6 years) in the Green Room

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade in the Blue Room
  • 4th & 5th Grade in the Purple Room

Each room has a class sign on or near the door which includes the name of your child(ren)’s teachers. All of our teachers are CORI’d (a state required background check) and screened for your child(ren)’s safety.  You will be able to register your child(ren) at the welcome table in the front foyer at the entrance of the church when you arrive on Sunday morning.  The cards then can be brought to your child(ren)’s class and given to his/her teacher. Parents are asked to sign their child in and out of classes every Sunday.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS & EVENTS...

In addition to our children’s program on Sunday morning we offer the following on-going programs:

Vineyard Bible Camp: This free camp is for children 3 years through 5th grade and includes bible stories, drama, crafts, games, snack, music and opportunities for the children to grow in their faith.  Held one week each summer.

Kids Holidays & Annual Events:  Children’s Ministry sponsors holiday events throughout the year as we celebrate important dates on our calendar.  These events include our Good Friday Interactive for families, Easter Sunday Morning Breakfast, Hopkinton Polyarts Kids Program, Family Movie Nights, Birthday Party for Jesus, and much more!

Golden Pond Outreach: During the children’s school vacations, we go to Golden Pond, an assisted living facility in Hopkinton. The children pass out cookies, sing songs, and share with the residents there. The residents enjoy the times we come.

Sponsored Child: Children’s Ministry sponsers a child, Wiliana, in the DominicanRepublic. There are special donation cans in each of the classrooms for the children to put their offerings into. There is also a monkey bank on the community table for this reason. The children are also encouraged to pray for Wiliana and write her letters. She lives in Boca Nueva with her Grandmother and has one brother, Willy Colon. She is in Kindergarten, loves to play dolls and dreams of becoming a Doctor someday. Our church body also goes to the Domincan Republic on mission trips.

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and be drown in the depths of the sea." Matthew 18:5-6
